Election Night at Mar-a-Lago

The people have spoken. America is back. Are you ready?

I had planned to spend my election night in Virginia, since my wife recently became Chair of the Republican Party for Fairfax County, the largest county in Virginia. But the temptation was just too great. 

When friends who have been steadfast supporters of the President informed me of their plans to be in West Palm Beach on Tuesday night, I said “OK, I have to be there and wrangle my way into Mar-a-Lago, his stunning estate.” And I’m glad I did. 

I met the legendary Douglas Murray - who it turns out also attended St. Benedict’s in Ealing, as I did!

Whilst my amazing wife held the fort back home at a watch party in the Commonwealth, I participated in an incredible night of MAGA Alums. First reuniting with former White House colleagues like Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Then meeting the legendary Douglas Murray - who it turns out also attended St. Benedict’s in Ealing, as I did! Plus Alina Habba, the President’s fearless attorney who stared down the Biden Department of Justice and won. To also meeting President Trump’s lovely sister, Elizabeth, and the legendary UFC President Dana White.

I had been informed by the campaign that President Trump would not make an appearance in his own club, but stay sequestered with his family in his private quarters. But then, as the results all started coming in for America First and the MAGA Movement, the Boss changed his mind and joined us, wearing a broad grin. 

I also met President Trump’s lovely sister, Elizabeth.

After catching the eye of his ever-loyal batman, Walt Nauta, another innocent American targeted by the FBI and DOJ, Walt whispered: “Don’t move!” I was bolted to the hardwood floor until he beckoned to me, signaled to Secret Service agents surrounding the top table, and I stepped over the thick velvet rope to catch up with my former boss.

I squeezed in between him and tough guy Dana White, and the first thing he said was “How’d you think it’s going Seb?” And I told him what I was telling everyone that historic night: “It’s all about the trend-lines Mr. President, and they’re all moving in the right direction!” Not wanting to hog his time, I said one more personal word to the former and now future President. Then I cheekily turned to Dana and said: “Mr. White, would you mind taking a picture of me and the Boss?” And he very graciously did!

Soon after, the President boarded his armored SUV and his convoy moved across Palm Beach to the massive Convention Center where thousands and thousands of patriots had been waiting for hours. We likewise piled into a convoy of vans and moved over to the massive official Watch Party, where we stood shoulder to shoulder with Team MAGA watching the Jumbotron screens showing the state-by-state returns. Then Fox News announced 277 Electoral College votes for President Trump, and the whole building erupted in a tectonic eruption of cheers. 

I cheekily turned to Dana and said: “Mr. White, would you mind taking a picture of me and the Boss?”

A few minutes later, and President-Elect Trump took the stage with his beautiful wife Melania, his children, JD Vance, Dana, and the rest of his retinue, to make history with his victory speech.
